In an interview with the owner of Phillips Project Management, Marc Phillips spoke very highly of the gplink Remote Monitoring System installed aboard the J&B, a 66′ Hines-Farley custom sportfishing vessel that spent several months at the Jarrett Bay Marine Park for a refit and custom transom extension.
“The addition of the Caterpillar Three60 Precision Control System and gplink Remote Monitoring were the crown on top of an already great engine, gear, and thruster package. I was excited to install the gplink system to have the ability to monitor the boat from afar. This vessel traveled 4000 miles to come to Jarrett Bay Boatworks, and the same to go home. It is a fantastic tool to keep track of the vessel. On the way up, the captain felt at times he was all alone with no safety blanket, but with gplink, he knew we were all looking out for him and it gave him a good feeling knowing he wasn’t alone. I still monitor the boat for alarms and performance regularly and always will. It’s an amazing feature that works flawlessly.”
