Gregory Poole Marine Manager Dan Webb recently worked with Hatteras & Cabo Yachts to make gplink® a standard piece of equipment installed on every Cat® powered yacht built at their factory. Customers placing new orders will now receive the gplink real-time vessel monitoring and support system on their vessel.
Offering the convenience of in-house installation at the New Bern manufacturing plant, Hatteras & Cabo customers can now pursue boating adventures with confidence from their very first launch, affording more time to enjoy their boats and less time worrying about them. Owners, families and captains find themselves more relaxed, both on board and away from their vessel, because the gplink product monitors systems in real time, with around the clock support and notification included. Maintenance logs, which are archived by the system, also greatly increase Hatteras & Cabo resale values and owners of vessels using the gplink system are afforded discounted insurance rates by ACE® Insurance.
“We are excited about the addition of gplink to all of our Cat powered boats. It allows Cat technicians the ability to remotely review your engines’ alarm status, troubleshoot any engine conditions and potentially eliminate a preliminary visit to your boat. If a service visit is required, gplink will communicate your diagnostic information to the closest Cat service center to arrange everything that is needed to get you back out on the water as quickly as possible. Hatteras and CABO have a long history of introducing new technologies, standards and processes in the recreational marine industry. The addition of gplink to all of our Cat powered vessels is just another example of how both brands are continually working to provide the very best products for our customers”
says Bruce Angel, Senior Vice President of Product Development and Engineering, Construction Management, and Customer Service for Hatteras and CABO.
To showcase the Hatteras-Cabo/gplink partnership, an exciting public demonstration of both the Hatterascal GT63 summer tournament trail and the gplink satellite monitoring interface has been launched. This is a rare, interactive opportunity for the general public to see the core features available with the gplink service. The demo can be viewed online at www.gplink.com/demo.
